Bright Start Terms of Use

1. Introduction
Welcome to Bright Start ("we," "us," "our"). Bright Start is a mobile application designed to help users limit app usage during mornings and promote healthier routines through sunlight exposure tracking.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Bright Start app, website, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Bright Start. By using Bright Start, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of Bright Start, you may need to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we suspect fraudulent or abusive behavior.
4. Service Features
Bright Start provides features including but not limited to:
- App blocking during selected times
- Sunlight scanning via device camera or Google Vision API
- Screen Time management via Apple's Screen Time API
- Weather information via weatherapi.com
- Mood tracking
- Usage analytics
Features may evolve over time. We reserve the right to modify, remove, or add features without prior notice.
5. Payment & Subscriptions
Bright Start offers premium features through Bright Start Premium, an auto-renewable subscription purchased as an in-app purchase via the Apple App Store. All payments are processed through Apple. We do not store credit card details.
- Title: Bright Start Premium (auto-renewable subscription unlocking premium features such as blocking unlimited apps, categories, and websites).
- Length and price: Available subscription periods and their exact prices in your local currency are shown in the app before you confirm a purchase. Each option renews for the same period shown (for example, weekly or yearly).
- Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Managing and cancelling: Manage or cancel any time in iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions, or via Manage Subscription in the app's settings.
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled solely by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
6. User Responsibilities
By using Bright Start, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Upload harmful, inappropriate, or offensive content
- Violate the intellectual property rights of others
You acknowledge that the effectiveness of sunlight detection and app blocking depends on factors beyond our control, including device settings and environment.
7. Data Usage & Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using Bright Start, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
We make reasonable efforts to store minimal data and process data on-device where possible. However, certain functionalities rely on third-party APIs (Google Vision, weatherapi.com, Apple Screen Time API).
8. Intellectual Property
All content and materials provided through Bright Start are owned by Gaurav Thapa or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute our content without written permission.
9. Third-Party Services
Bright Start integrates with third-party services. We are not responsible for their availability, content, or practices. Usage of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
10. Limitation of Liability
Bright Start is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to fifty dollars (AUD $50.00).
- We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, secure, or error-free.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to Bright Start at any time without prior notice for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
You may terminate your use of Bright Start at any time by deleting your account and removing the app from your device.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted within the app or on our website. Continued use of Bright Start after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
